The finest glass is tempered. The glass is run through an oven and heated to 620 degrees Celsius (1,148 degrees Fahrenheit). It then undergoes a high-pressure cooling procedure that lasts just a few seconds. High-pressure air is blasted onto the glass cooling the outer surface much more quickly than the center. As the center of the glass cools, it pulls back from the outer surface, resulting in fixed tension. Th is permanent pressure gives tempered glass its strength.
Standard annealed glass breaks at about six thousand pounds per square inch. Tempered glass, on the other hand, generally breaks at approximately twenty-four thousand pounds per square inch.
Temperance is an often-overlooked personal attribute that experts should develop. Being temperate means you are self-restrained and not given to extreme opinions. Being temperate means you are measured in your positions, balanced in your opinion, and controlled in your reactions. Regardless of the conflict or the intensity of the situation, you remain calm, poised, and dignified. Tempered experts don’t fly off the handle, they don’t shatter, and they don’t break. They are resilient, transparent, and tough. Great experts are temperate.
